Hello everybody, I am recently just installed Ubuntu alongside my windows 7. Linux runs faster on my laptop, so i was thinking of switching to it. I am an aspiring game designer and am currently am using flash professional CC to create games. Are there programs like flash on linux? is running it on wine stable?

- Thanks is advance :)

Adobe products CAN be run on wine yes, but usually without full features. Honestly at the moment game design is better done on Windows. Game editors like Unity allow games to be ported to Linux, so you should also keep the Ubuntu installed. Basically create on Windows and test on Ubuntu. I know this is a pain. Trust me I want to be able to make games with editors like Unity on Linux. Rumour has it that the Unity editor is going to be ported to Linux. Mainly for those game designers who work with Valve. Steam on Linux will give Linux users more options in game design, until then though....

As for Adobe flash alternatives...

And a good game engine/editor that will be awesome on Linux
