Several distros and discouraged

I suspect it's Nvidia's fault
Or it might just be that you're one of the unlucky people who got a faulty CPU:

Managing i9-14900KS issues:
Intel's high-end 13th Gen and 14th Gen CPUs have a major problem:

When I was on mint 19.3, a few months ago, the problem was fixed by reverting back (downgrading) to some older nvidia driver.
I am not a gamer anymore, so it doesn't matter to me.
I'm on mint 21.3 and i have that same problem now.
I will try them one by one until I find the good one.
keep you posted.
swapped an old radeon card (hd 7450) in the computer (old acer tc-705 i7-4790, nvidia gtx 745)
now, suspend and hibernate work flawlessly.
On the plus side, radeon 18w, nvidia 55w
end of the story for me

I found your thread because I was having the exact same experience and distro hopping all over and experiencing bugs.

Upgrading my bios to the latest version fixed the sleep bug. None of the fixes or systemd hacks worked for me.

I took a look at your board and the latest bios version is called F6

My BIOS was a year out of date.

Edit: I'm back to getting the sleep bug so my experience was temporary.
