Security. About Google and Yandex

After long using of Google products and resources, such as Google Chrome, YouTube and some others, I feel like they steal my personal informational. The main thing, that annoys me, is that they always know my location (I'm talking about google.com and Google Chrome) and choose site language (if the site is multilingual) (Google Chrome). When I was newbie in computing, I didn't feel it, but now if I use their projects (actually I don't use them, I deleted my Google account and I feel better, I removed Google Chrome), I feel like "Big brother is watching me". I hear that in Russia Federal Security Service (but I don't know exactly) controls each user. And also Google controls our search queries.
So, Yandex. After getting too much spam on mail.ru, I started looking for email web client service. I stopped on yahoo dot com, and I fancy it, but I've heard about viruses spreading through the mail via some american companies. I didn't receive messages from them, but I started looking for clients one more time. And visiting Yandex terms of service, I read that my personal info can be used by Federal Security Service. A week ago, I read that they started a project in which we can search Facebook posts. Not only me was surprised: we can search Facebook posts only via Bing (but I trust Microsoft more, maybe I'm wrong? After using Windows, I found that Microsoft doesn't care about users, software I mean). So, while Google wage war openly, Yandex is a rat. I'm afraid of spreading my data even though I actually don't have secrets for which I can be judged. Share your thoughts, please. Maybe somebody feels something like this.
Thank you

Google does not steal information. What they do is gather every scrap of information they find. Not that excessive trawling of information, especially of personal nature, is better than stealing it, but there is a difference.

Unfortunately I think Google gets a lot of flack when they are, in my opinion of course, one of the few companies willing to stand up and challenge the Government's absolutist way of information stealing. Do they provide information to the government? Of course they do, they are federally mandated, but they at least monitor what the government steals and are trying to get new legislation passed. Yahoo, Facebook, Apple, Microsoft, AT&T, Verizon, etc all provide information to the government, but what information and how much varies depending on what shreds of freedom and privacy remain in the U.S. since 9/11.

Compare that with companies like Verizon who essentially give the NSA free reign to grab any information from their users the government feels like with nearly no checks or care about what information is getting out. Of course I hated Verizon before they killed net neutrality, now I refuse to use any of their services:

So in essence, the only way your data will be safe is to log off the Internet. But these tools may help: https://prism-break.org/en/

Also below is an awesome Wired article about how deep and depraved the NSA spying schemes go. Essentially hacking into private broadband lines between Google and Yahoo because their government-mandated spying wasn't thorough enough  (search Project Muscular). Things that would get you or I thrown in jail, but the NSA doesn't think twice and suffers no repercussions.

There's not much you can do, and Microsoft is just as bad, considering all there deals with the NSA... Before I accepted this I used a vpn so my ip traced to some where else, still a bad solution, they can still track you easily, its a waist of time. all you can do is not use there products. Good luck to you.
