Remote Desktop Client Terminates after connecting (Fedora 33)

I have a fresh install of fedora 33 and the very first thing I've done is try to make the remote desktop work. I've followed countless tutorials like this:

Fedora 33 : Configure Xrdp Server : Server World

Fedora 33 Configure Xrdp Server

www.server-world.info

and I can't figure out why the client connects to the xrdp server, then terminates and disconnects after I click "ok" to the untrusted certificate issue. What am I missing?

What do the logs say? Did you install the xorgxrdp drivers? I'll have to try it on install it on a Fedora test machine since I do use xrdp but not on Fedora.

It turns out that things haven't changed much since fedora 27. This article told me exactly what I needed to do to get gnome working through remote desktop on fedora 33.
