Not sure what to really title this.
Wondering if there is a relation to receiving specific updates and being able to see YouTube video menu on right side.
Lately, I am not able to see "entire" video menu for youtube videos because they don't all load up. I only get one page worth when it used to be an endless selection. Not sure what adjustment I need to make/check to keep things up-to-date. Basically wondering why I only get 1 pages worth of You Tube video's in menu. Any idea's? And I do diligently stay on top of system updates.

Generally speaking provided your internet connection speed is more than 2Mb you should not have problems from the download point, but you may have processing problems, Take my old [14 yrs] dell laptop obviously not the fastest in the world, will run stream live TV fine and will run you-tube vids, but they can take a hell of a long time to load, depending on the Video quality

Edit typo

Perhaps check the health of your internet connection:

One can check the speed of the internet connection in a terminal with:
Code:
speedtest-cli

One can visit the following sites which will output a speed reading as well:

A few other things worth checking:

Does the same thing happen in another browser?
Do you have ad blockers or other extensions running in your browser, and if so, does the same screen appear when these are all disabled?

Does the same screen appear when you run the browser in safe mode? For example, in firefox, select "Help" from the menu bar and then "Troubleshoot Mode" and click to restart in that mode and see what appears.

HOLY SUPER SPEED BATMAN.... where are you getting 2gb speed for internet? I am only getting 20mb and option to go to 1gb. I have zero issues streaming multiple computers simultaneously and downloading at 20mb.

remind me of this in 7 years when everybody is on 5gb speeds so I can feel older than I do now.

yer yer yer I had a bad day, we both know it should be MB, I will edit the typo

that sounds better but the 2gb was still in the realm of reality, just not the norm.

The wife has been moaning our smart TV keeps dropping its wi-fi signal, just ran a speed test and our download speed is 30% down tonight to 26.Mb

have her check the settings for the streaming. if set to auto it will always use everything it can get. change the quality to 720 or 1040 and problem usually goes away. when on auto it tries to do everything 4k and that will overrun most internet.

I know little of modern TV's will have a go tomorrow before she starts on the chick flicks

sorry @Snort McDork for hijacking your thread,

sorry @Snort McDork for hijacking your thread,
sorry to hijack one last time. The setting will be at each streaming service.

Okay. I will give this a shot and get back to you. Thanks.

Okay. It says my internet speed is 56mbps. This seems slow. What would I have to do to make it faster?

That's better than i get on my best day,
what do your ISP say you should be getting,?
If you can interrogate your router, what is the sync speed? [thats the speed going into the router,] if you are hard-wired then expect a difference between the sync speed and the speed test [this is at your terminal] of up to 5%, wi-fi will be significantly more,
on wi-fi try changing the channels your wi fi connects to [also done in the router]

if hard-wired check the cable connections at both ends are clean and tight, if cable is anything less than cat 5 all copper [cheaper ones are CCA {copper coated aluminium] and are prone to damaged is moved around or stretched
if wi-fi there is not much you can do, domestic wi-fi has a max operational distance of 10 mt [33ft] but that is in an open line of sight, any structure between them will reduce the signal, if the structure contains metal it will reduce the signal more than masonry or stud and board,
there may also be a reduction through RF interference caused by domestic appliances, , [microwave, anything with an electric motor and some cooking appliances]

The speed of 56 mbits/s is not, by itself, going to impede youtube videos nor impede having the youtube page appear in your browser in the "endless" format.

The system with that speed will normally render the youtube webpage fully, and download videos from the site perfectly well. Much lower speeds will manage those things, so that would not, in the first instance, be the reason for the rendering problems.

As I understand it, the problem, from post #1 is this:
I am not able to see "entire" video menu for youtube videos because they don't all load up. I only get one page worth when it used to be an endless selection.

These are the steps that may be worth trying to see if you can get the "endless" selections that one can scroll down. You may have tried these things, but here is what I'd do:

1. Reload the page with the browser reload facility which is often a circular line with an arrow head in the top tool bar.
2. Reload the page with the youtube facility which is a white arrowhead on a red background, left of the search box.
3. Load another browser and see if there's a difference. Alternative browsers could be appimages or repository downloads. This machine here runs 5 browsers: firefox, brave, mullvad, librewolf and palemoon. There are others.
4. Run the firefox browser in "Troubleshoot Mode" as mentioned in post #3. Firefox is usually very reliable.
5. If you are accessing the internet from a modem/router, that router would normally have a basic firewall in it. If by chance the operating system is running a firewall as well, it may be worth disabling it and relying on the modem/router firewall to see if the operating system firewall is implicated. Of course the installation's firewall can be re-enabled. It's unwise to disable the modem/router firewall, and that's not recommended.

To add to the above...

Here's my real-world experience. You can watch 720p YouTube with just a few MB/sec. I'm often in the 3 to 5 MB/sec range and I can stream and browse. On a good day, I can stream, browse, and download with satisfactory results.
