So I've backed up my all my files onto a microsd card and before I begin deleting things I'm just looking for some suggestions. I'm down to 22gb of disc space. But yeah, good morning everyone........

You may want to invest in an external hard drive so that Timeshift can place all of your systems snapshot's there.
Otherwise, (soon) you'll get the out of disk space message every-time your system boots.

I understand. Then I'll be right to delete all those snapshot's that are taking up space right??

Tell us a bit more @davinci74

How big is the main drive in that system?....

Were your Timeshift snapshots being saved to that main drive ?

if you open Timeshift on your desktop, then click on Settings....and then on Schedule.

How many are ticked to be taken/.....mine looks like the below

@davinci74, if you are having trouble there, you can always boot your pc to the usb stick you used to install Linux with.....and contact us via that

No I'm not encountering any problems. Just noticing that my free space on timeshift is getting lower. In the beginning I had 29gb of free space now I'm down to 22. You know I have 2 operating systems on this device. Also I've changed my schedule on time shift to just take 1 snapshot a day. I don't understand why I would need all those snapshots. But I am investing in a external hard drive. But using the backup tool on my device I saved everything to a micro ssd card and I haven't deleted anything yet tho.You asked if snapshots are being saved to the main drive, idk. But in time shift when I look at the system logs i see all the snapshots in the file system. But I'll attach my disc info if this helps.
CPU: dual core 11th Gen Intel Core i3-1115G4 (-MT MCP-)
speed/min/max: 613/400/4100 MHz Kernel: 6.8.0-47-generic x86_64 Up: 1d 5h 23m
Mem: 1.93/7.41 GiB (26.0%) Storage: 238.47 GiB (20.9% used) Procs: 240
Shell: Bash inxi: 3.3.34
But Yeah I'm not having any problems. Everything is Gucci. I'm still debating with myself about a full install of a distribution that's why I'm experimenting with different ones.

In the beginning I had 29gb of free space now I'm down to 22.
That is not unusual....in fact that is now viewed as a tiny amount of space used. For a comparison, my Timeshift currently uses around 85GB of space on my external drive.....but....my external has 1 TB of space that can be used, so all is good. It's all relative. If you have a bigger external drive then everything is ok
But I am investing in a external hard drive.
Good to hear. When you get it, you will need to change where the Timeshift snapshots are stored. I will explain in the next answer down.....
.You asked if snapshots are being saved to the main drive, idk.
click on Timeshift...password....it opens......click on Settings.

Then, click on Location...

You will see, the below.....it will show the various places that have some sort of storage space on your pc....This will include your main drive

The orange 'dot' shows the spot I have chosen to keep timeshift snapshots....the partition there is 987GB......with 639GB of thta still free.
My main drive is the bottom one on the list...samsung ssd 970 evo plus 250gb nvmeOn1p2 etc etc
I keep my image bakcup on the partition called ZILLA only.

So, to change the place where snapshots are stored....just click/tick the appropriate drive

You can always divide the space up if the external is big enough.

That external drive you get....when it is plugged in, you may see it in GParted. (type that in menu...it should show up)

Timeshift snapshots have to be stored on a drive which has an ext4 file system.

You may wish to partition the drive first, depending on its size.

I started with a 2Tb and simply partitioned in half, initially. The third chunk for 'Zilla was carved off later

More about that later.

That shows the space you have for T'shift as being partition five on that drive....with 77GB being available fro it and 23Gb still being free.
As you said....starting to fill up....but the current degree of "fullness" is ok

Be aware, that if you add a comment beside a particular snapshot......that snapshot will not be removed by T'shift.....it will continue to take up space until it is deleted.

Roja that Condobloke, I understand. t
Thanks buddy!!!!!!!!!!1

. I don't understand why I would need all those snapshots.
I have mine set to keep the set up scan plus 3 others in my case the last 3 days,as i back up once an day
