Hi Everyone,
I was running PC (OpenSUSE) connected to DSL modem and using Firefox and I am content with the speed. Then I decided to connect router between modem and PC because I have another PC with windows. To test the performance, I performed following tests:
1) PC windows and modem - speed okay.
2) PC windows router and modem - speed okay (the same)
3) PC Linux and modem - speed okay
4) PC Linux router and modem - not okay, I have to wait few seconds longer for webpage to appear.
Note that
a) router speed is set to dsl speed.
b) tests were performed running one PC at a time.
What I am missing in Linux Setting (OpenSuse) that makes internet surfing slower when I am using router between modem and pc?
Does ethernet card has a MTU setting too or is it just for routers and modems?
Thank you.
