Hi guy,s here is my system info having problems with running Pronterface (Printrun) won't start up.
due to an issue with Python 3.10.
The Ubuntu packagers included the fix on Ubuntu 22.10. So any versions prior to that will have to either use the workaround or run the latest Printrun from source. Sadly, Linux Mint 21 is based on Ubuntu 22.04. Maybe ask the Linux Mint packagers (or the Ubuntu ones) to back-port the fix?
I use this for my 3D printing machines and is very important software i use.
However it will not run , only runs with a work around using terminal type " ./pronterface.py " in the dir of Printrun it starts up but that sucks don't want to leave Mint there must be something that can be done:)

Still don't understand why you can download software using " Software Manager " if it doesn't run!

Pronterface has not been updated for around 6 years, however if your running a recent releace [which you are] then

sudo apt install printrun should install the application and dependencies [so I have read] [by using the apt command normally enforces dependencies, software managers do not always do this]
