Problems with dbus daemon

Okay, so I went in to try to install Flash Player to my Debian Linux, and no matter which firmware system (I know everything for all firmwares are basically the same) I tried, I always got "GConf Error: No D-BUS daemon running".
I tried googling "How to install dbus daemon" and "download dbus daemon for linux", and I've gotten various different resolutions. Thing is, I'm new to linux, and I really don't want to screw the whole thing up. Anyone have a real solution to my problem? Yes, I know how to gain root access, and how to modify files for configuration settings.

You should not need to install the dbus daemon. dbus is part of the Debian system. The version in Wheezy is 1.6.8-1+deb7u1. I pulled that up with apt-cache policy on a 64-bit system. I do not know if 32-bit uses exactly the same version. So the best next step would be to tell us how you installed the system and what you have done since. Include as many details as you can.

Well, it took a little filerewriting, but it seems to be working now.
