Any Ubuntu 22.04 Distro won't allow Kernel 5.4 to be installed. Is there any way to by pass that and force install Kernel 5.4 on 22.04? Any kernel above that version seems to freeze my PC. I've tried Xanmod & Liquorix Kernel & those freeze my PC too. Is there any way to Keep my PC from freezing when using kernel versions higher then 5.4?

I think that might depend on your hardware set up which you don't supply us with. It could be too old for the newer kernels.
And often involves the graphics card drivers. But go to a terminal and type
Code:
inxi -Fxxzr
and post the output here.
That will give us some idea of what your dealing with. It maybe you'll need to stick to 20.04 for now. Or change to another distro that supports your hardware.

I Think you should stick with 20.04LTS for now. It still has 3 years of support. And there is no real reason for going to 22.04.
I can't see the reason that 22.04 and it's Kernel should not work but I'm not sure the drivers or kernel modules for you Atom graphics card has been ported to the newer kernels yet. But I'm just guessing since I have nothing to check it against here.
Someone else may come along and know.

If you sign up for Ubuntu Advantage, free for three computers, there's even extended support - where you'll continue to get updates until April of 2030.

I already done that. Although the Software & updates software says Until 12/31/9999 but I'm guessing it will eventually show the correct date @ some point since that is still in the Beta Stage.

That's not one of the things I test, so it's mostly off my radar. I'm pretty sure they'll fix the date before support ends. It might be because regular support hasn't ended yet? If I had to guess, and I am guessing, that'd be my first guess.

Another thought I think if I remember correctly that Ubuntu 22.04 come with Wayland as the default windows manager and that could also be the problem You can revert it to Xorg. This page tell you how to disable it.

Still I think there is no real reason for you to upgrade.
This is just a thought, what would that have to do with the 5.15 or the 6. Kernels freezing my PC when using 22.04 distros? :)
