Good morning,
I use Mint 17. 3 32 bits and have tried to upgrade to 18 or 19.2. from a DVD
It works fine BUT my oldish printers do not get installed. They have a Linux driver downloaded, both for 32 bits and 64 bits.
I use a Asus G70 64bits pc with lots of memory.
The printers are Canon MF4380dn and MF8350cdn. They are on an Ethernet network and an usb direct link.
They do not appear in the linux list of printers. They do appear in the list if I give their ethernet adress
How could I install them ?
Thanks

2nd question:
I have installed an USB CH340 port driver. It appears in the Port list BUT i get the "no permission to use" message.
I read how to use CHMOD but I don't know whether this port is considered as a file or not ? how do I call it in the console ?

Thanks a lot for the help !
