Not exactly on Linux but there's no other way for this game: VMWare with Windows 7 VM set to have just 1 core from the entire CPU. Because this game has a serious problem with distributing resources when the core is more than one and keeps randomly crashing to desktop.

Since no new games exist that would attract me I've turned to browser games, currently playing Travian:

Travian is browser strategy game, you develop your village, expand and build military to attack for resources.

If you have interest in playing this game here is my referral link:

Hmm... If it's not obvious from the pictures, we should probably say what games we're showing.

I did not do so in my case, 'cause it clearly says the name of the game in the screenshot. (I wasn't in full-screen mode.)

I do have a giant CRT that I've been saving for a MAME machine. It has few hours on it. I might have to make that an option for retro gaming.

Currently playing Stardew Valley. Perfect for my potato laptop =D
I played this too, makes lot of fun! I lost my 100h savegame, and have no motivation to do it again :(

Oh, that's understandable. Even though I like the game, the grind is sometimes unreal lol. I was quite frustrated and stressed during my 1st playthrough. But now, having achieved Perfection, I just don't care that much about being on time to finish CC and whatnot, I just play it to relax... thought it can be still difficult, I take it way too seriously at times. I'm learning not to and just to enjoy doing things at my own pace. The mods help tremendously btw.

I've been enjoying the PGA tour stuff. I don't even play (much) golf in the real world. It's a fun video game, however. I started with my own character and am grinding my way to more and more skill points. There's a ton of stuff that can be unlocked along the way. Plus, I can play it at my pace (easily). It doesn't get mad if I just set the controller down to do something else. It doesn't care if I want to take a drink of delicious wine. It happily waits for me.

It also highly penalizes mistakes.

Then, there's a luck factor. Sometimes, the computer just does all sorts of nastiness that you certainly didn't ask for. You'll have made a 'perfect' shot and it'll happily lob it off and shank it out of bounds. It loves to do that on courses with water hazards.

Over time, you can increase your 'luck' by adding points as you get them. But, points become even harder to get as you play the game. Golf is fricken' awesome and I used to play a lot of it (as a game, though I do golf in real life but not that much).

Alas, this one doesn't give you Mulligens. The computer can just decide to screw you and you have no recourse. Ah well... You just learn to accept it and eventually you can start assigning points to the luck slot.

Rimworld

been playing it off and on for years - not to win, "winning" is relatively straightforward and boring. I like to try out different scenarios. this is one I've been playing for a few hours but the scenario is such that there's a meteorite that will randomly crash down once every 1 to 7 days in a random spot on the map. very rarely it'll squash/instakill one of my pawns and then that's where the fun starts. last time it happened it squished the chef and then the colony fell apart due to infighting and latent pyromania....
