Google Translate - The problem I have is that my system does not recognize my built-in audio input and output devices, including the 3.5mm jack port.My PC is a Matebook D14. And this problem arose after I installed Parrot security replacing the default Windows.

Answer - you might need to install sof-firmware which you can get through the synaptic package manager

Google Translate

The Huawei MateBook is not a product that has been seen in my workshop, looking at the specification It probably came with Windows 10, did you disable secure boot in the bios/UEFI [parrot is not keen on it] also have you checked that it has not gone into hard block [flight mode] as this can happen on some machines when installing,
If its not in hard block, open parrot terminal and run inxi -Fnxxz and copy/paste back the full report

This is an English only site, please make all post in English or you may suffer the wrath of the mods [same will apply if you post on Parotsec help site]

Sorry, just helping out, I speak Spanish.
Also, if you don't tell him he did something wrong in Spanish, good chance he'll have zero idea he had done anything wrong until of course his account is deleted, and he gets a IP ban, which isn't exactly helping things, but anyway...@Brickwizard

I do a bit along with a bit of Dutch, German and, Greek. I am not fluent, but I pick up on keywords, but the point is as an international site the chosen language is English [American, Australian, South African or Oxbridge are all fine]

Be that as it may, telling him he's messing up in English (or dutch, or German or Greek) is probably not all that helpful. My .02$ but it's fine. I sent him a DM.

Me too!

Alas, for a variety of reasons (mostly logistics) this is an English-only site. If we were a larger forum with a bevy of volunteers to moderate, then we might consider adding support for other languages. Until such time, we're strictly an English-only forum.

No matter how tempting, do not translate or respond in languages other than English.

Yes, it's probably helpful if you do - but doing so is currently against the rules.

Thank you for understanding and have a belated welcome to the forum.

Understood, and not a problem. I wasn't aware I had broken any rule. I sent the OP a DM explaining the situation, encouraging him to use Google translate in the future, along with a potential solution to his issue. My bad!

Oh, it's all good. Now you know. You did not know before this, unless you happened to see others point it out before and taken notice as to why.

Personally, and without my moderator hat, I think translation services are fairly good these days. I'd like to see a time when we support other languages. Alas, it'd take some trusted volunteers to achieve this.

If you have Spanish speakers on the forum, I'd be happy to help. Might be good to have a thread available for Spanish speakers to post anything on with a little FAQ and disclaimer. If there is one already, I did not see it

Thanks for offering and the suggestions, but not at this time.

Also, it's nothing personal but you're quite new. I'm sure you have good intentions, but not everyone does. We'd need the volunteers to be more senior members, surely.

Anyhow, let's not derail the thread and make it too off-topic. My posts were just to let you know that we're English-only and why that is. You can always start a thread in off-topic or forum assistance if you wish to take this further.
