old laptop

Sometimes computers become so old and have such low memory that it is better to let them go...

Is the RAM capable of being economically increased?

What is more important than what distro is being used, can be what desktop environment or windows manager of that distro is being used.

What desktop environment or windows manager of Linux Mint are you using? e.g. Gnome or KDE or Xfce4

There is a useful Wikipedia page: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Light-weight_Linux_distribution

dont know output
What do you mean? Don't know output? Are you saying you don't know how to run the command to generate the output? Open Terminal and type that command (or copy/paste) and enter. Then copy/paste what it does into a reply to this thread. Your output should look similar to this:

An easier method might be to tell us the MAKE and the MODEL of the laptop...

What's easier than copy and paste? Make and model may require you to flip your computer over/around, etc. :)
