Been playing with PC's since 1990, with a first IBM running at a whopping 12 MHz. 640 ram, dual disk drives no hard drive. Building them since 1994. Using Linux off/on since 1998. All my laptops, have 4 now, run Linux distros. Mint on 2 HP's Peppermint on a dell and Alienware older laptops. And of course run it on all the Pi projects I got around the house.

Welcome! I was a late starter, too -- 1989. 286s and 386s at U of I. Linux since 2010. (Swore off windoze at the same time)

Welcome to the forums Mike13Foxtrot.

My Linux computers are old Windows computers.

Similar for me, but was 1992 first PC, and it had a 40 MB HDD.

Yeah...for 250.00 picked up a 40 on a controller card, formatting made it 32 MB. Still have that thing today. Then a few years later at a convention, bought a 250 MB for 250.00. Picked up a 1 TB WD OEM at MicroCenter last month for 19.95.

Yeah think I was also Redhat from Linux for Dummies. Got the Penguin bug, then CD's from Linux mags. Then finally cable modem speeds, then downloading. Now on Main desktop, Win10 o_O (still have stuff only on MS) I run VM and try out a lot of Distros.
