Hi folks. I've become very frustrated with this and need some help.
Yesterday we switched to a different ISP. Seemed to go well until it didn't. Here is a list of, I think, the pertinent details.
Provider supplied router.
All three computers can access the internet through this routers wifi.
All three computers can ping the router.
Printer is connected to the router via the routers wifi.
None of the computers can ping the printer or the other computers.
Nord VPN is installed, however, the issue remains with or without the VPN connected.
Firewall is off.
As far as I can tell, all of the settings are the same between old and new network settings. IPV4, IPV6, etc.
So, where do I go from here? I've found a boatload of threads dealing with getting internet access, but nothing that seems to address this problem.

You need to alter the new the IPV4 etc on your router to mach your new ISPs one to get a connection to the outside world. Settings should be available on the new ISPs web site.

There may be some default "security" setting in the router that's getting in your way. Maybe try a wired connection to the router, in case wifi clients are restricted. If you can't get into the router, you probably need to contact the ISP for support.

Sorry, may not have been clear. All three computers can connect to the outside world. The problem is that they can't connect to each other or the printer.

I think you may be right. I was hoping to avoid waiting for hours on verizon tech support to respond. Meanwhile, I'll keep plugging away! 'D

has everything been rebooted ?.....including the router

Hello Condobloke.
Yes. Leaving the laptop off for now. So it's just two desktops, the printer and the router. Both computers powered down and refired. Router unplugged for 60 seconds or so, then plugged back.
From either computer, I can ping the routers public Ip address. But that's it. No commo otherwise. Well, other than both computers can access the internet.
I read somewhere that Nord VPN sometimes causes a problem, but disconnecting and closing the Nord application had no effect so I doubt that's the problem.
A long painful telephone call with verizon tech support was ..... less than productive. I'm sure the language barrier didn't help but all she could offer, that I could understand was that the issue was my cell phone. Which is odd as my cell phone doesn't have anything to do with it. ( I'm one of those odd ducks that use my telephone as a telephone only ).
I know it's not my hardware, I've had this home network working fine for a couple of years now. The only change is the new ISP and their router.

What are the ip addresses of the router and the computers?
Is the router providing the addresses to the computers via dhcp?
They all usually need to be on the same network to connect.
You can check the addresses with the command: ip a, on each computer.
The router's address may actually be printed on the body of the router.

Horayyy!!!!! I figured it out.
Ok, I got it working. Which doesn't mean I figured it out.
Anyway, After hours of searching, I found a downloadable pdf manual for this particular router. And discovered there's a setting, or perhaps settings, in the security tab, ( I think ), of the online application that configures and manages the router.
After experimentation, I got my home network devices communicating with each other.
I wish I could share just how I got it done so as to save someone else the skullsweat I needed to overcome this. However, after changing, changing back, etc so many settings, I can't be sure just what worked.
Thanks to all who tried to help. I do appreciate it.

Had you been in the room with me a few times while I was hashing out this issue, you probably would have learned a few more .... expressive words ;)
I spent some years in my early working life as a shearer. I could run classes in the art of voicing profanity...

Horayyy!!!!! I figured it out.

Well done.

Sounds like a good time for some Timeshift snapshots or other backup solution.

Cheers

Wiz

Created a Timeshift snapshot as soon I was confident it was running.
I do use Timeshift. But it's not automated. I choose when and where timeshift works.
