Network Error after Peppermint 10 OS package updates

I just bought a new computer and installed peppermint 10, once I did package updates I wasn't able to get WiFi or LAN to connect. I tried to reinstall but can't get the USB to boot!

I've asked a friend to help me with some start networking commands but no luck.

Can anyone help me understand how to get my Wifi back?

I've only ever installed Peppermint in a VM and not a fan, is your computer a Laptop or Desktop and what are the specs ?

peppermint doesn't usually cause problems in itself may be a driver problem in a terminal type
inxi -Fnx and enter
scroll down the results till you find the section headed network copy and past here.
Just a point to note Peppermint 10 is coming to the end if its life, Peppermint 11 was due last year but as yet is still not completed for release, you may want to consider another distribution .
Oh was it the 64 bit or the 32 bit version you installed?
