Need help from the Linux community (i am new)

I want to dedicate a 1TB HDD i own to an install of Linux purely for the use of emulators (lot's of them) retro gaming & sort of an arcade unit but on PC hardware.
The PC i have specs:
i7-2700K
12GB DDR3
Intel HD 3000 iGPU
At the moment i run Windows 10 on a separate SSD and wish to be able to still boot into Windows 10 for my desktop needs purely down to software i use.
I want something like Retropie but according to what i have researched that is only for Raspberry Pi systems?

You can play on linux, as much as you can do on windows (almost).
Retropi, is made for raspberry pi, however you can achieve the same kind of things on any distribution.
