My device is flashing and the Mint logo flashes twice before displaying the login screen.
There is also a message "[Failed] Failed to start..." appearing on the top left corner of the device.
The message appears and then disappears quickly. I am not able to get the complete message.
Shutting down the device does the same.
I donwloaded some files and now the system is acting this way. Did not happen before this.
Thinking about re-installing it. Very abnormal to see this.
What would be the cause for the flashing and the failed message?
Is there a log file to review the failed message once I am logged in?

I have never seen this happen.

if this were me, I would definitely reinstall

Did the Live version display any peculiarities...or just the full install ?

Did you have any problems burning the .iso to the usb stick

Has secure boot been disabled

Has fast boot been disabled

Download the ISO from a different mirror and re-install.

Did this happen on a previous version of Mint...if not could be a bug in 22.1.

You could try 21.1...I'm using it and works just fine and support lasts till 2027...hope this helps.

It's a pesky little bug!

It seems this is a non-critical bug which has found itself in the Linux Mint 21 (Vanessa) world from the Ubuntu 22.04 (Jammy) repos.
