Hi everyone.
I updated Ubuntu to the latest version: 24.04.1 LTS
Among the various things, Thunderbird has also been updated, or rather, has gone from the traditional version, to the Snap version (perhaps this is precisely the ruin).

The problem is that now I want to import the old configuration, but I can't.

I copied the appropriate folder

cp -r ~/backups/.thunderbird ~/snap/thunderbird/common/

But when I open Thunderbird I see that the accounts are there, but you do not see the folders of the Imap accounts.

I clicked on Get Messagges to update, but nothing is updated.

Why?

The page maybe of help:

I always desnap TB in my installs. Just don't care for Snaps.

Code:
$ ls /etc/apt/preferences.d/mozillateamppa
ls: cannot access '/etc/apt/preferences.d/mozillateamppa': File or directory does not exist

mmmhhh... I have to create it and insert it?

Code:
Package: thunderbird*
Pin: release o=LP-PPA-mozillateam
Pin-Priority: 1001

Package: thunderbird*
Pin: release o=Ubuntu
Pin-Priority: -1

You need to import your old thunderbird profile. Copying will not work. Thunderbird about:profiles.

I have done this few years ago but currently in the Thunderbird latest version, go to Tools -> Import...

For now I solved it.
I installed the traditional version, I overwrote the ~/.thunderbird directory and it works.
