Thanks for the clarification, as I said been quite sometime since I've used Mageia

me too last time i gave it a test run was around 2015, It worked,It showed its origins in RHEL, I didn't think it anything special, with the latest edition, well it may be updated, but I will stick to my premise, no one distribution is any better than another, it is the one that works with your kit and you're happy to do your daily work on that is best [for you]
