Linux
OS X

  • Incredible apps that are only distributed in Linux family
  • Good alternatives for unsupported apps
  • Linux has a huge support for old laptops and improves the performance of them
  • Good community forums for fixing basic problems and finding alternatives for apps, etc.
  • Depending on the Linux distro, you will have better security patches and trackers, for example Ubuntu and Ubuntu based systems have a really good security.
  • Gnome extensions are the best for improving the performance and customization of the OS
  • Tile windows option

  • Icloud services
  • Accessibility functions
  • best system monitoring
  • easy to use
  • dynamic

Cons:
  • Apps crashing
  • Typical troubleshooting
  • Some apps are restricted for only the latest versions of OS X
  • some versions of OS X are outdated and are not longer receiving security updates
  • Uneasy to use the terminal
  • blocks some terminal commands if you are not a developer
  • Not that open to customization

Hi. What is the point you're trying to make? Are you showing the comparison for us to say if we agree with it or not? Or to receive feedback of it?

I think it needs much more framing and more work.

You are not really comparing them point by point. Among many others, an example is that you put "sudo commands" in the Linux side, while macOS also provide sudo. Other points are just wrong, as saying that Linux hasn't got too many developers, and some quite confusing views of its support.

You should frame your comparison in a specific set of areas and relate each other, specify Desktop Environment, computers compared... you can even find benchmarks of Linux on Apple computers and compare their benchmarks quantitatively to avoid loose terms like "Great performance" and "Awesome performance".

It's comparing apples with oranges because Linux is just a kernel and MacOS is an OS.

You also completely missed the whole issue of open-source vs proprietary, the cost, the existence of support subscriptions from Linux vendors such as Redhat, and that Mac OS only supports a very small number of computer models whereas Linux aims to support a huge range from small embedded systems, laptops, workstations, servers and super computers.

Thank you very much, I'll take everything you said in consideration

There's so much wrong/opinion in there that it's not even remotely objective - or even true.

One of the funniest is:

Gnome extensions are the best for improving the performance and customization of the OS

You're new to Linux, aren't you?
