Looking for a simple joypad events terminal outputs

Hello
Does anyone know of a program or command to present keys that are being pressed by a joystick?
So when I press any button I will receive the output to the terminal.

Basically I tried to install Joy2key unsuccessfully, there are such great programmers out there but it just looks like they are trying their best to complicate installations and so most of the people just give up.

It's ok guys just got it sorted, installed Antimicro which seems fantastic!
