loaded Linux mint onto another computer got error message grub not loaded now have dead computer with grub> on screen can you help

How did you install? Did you check the download?

HP compaq 6200 burned iso file to disk appeared to load end message problem with grub send error report no way as linux not available have GNU GRUB Ver 2.02 on screen minimal bash and command prompt grub>

I would suspect the Download. Did you verify the ISO? https://linuxmint.com/verify.php
Did you try from grub> typing: exit

The Mint installer will prompt for entry of where to install Grub files. So, if you installed to a PC that expects UEFI, then Grub should install to the ESP partition. Otherwise, it would go to the MBR, such as /dev/sda.
