This is strange and I don't even know what to search for.
Setup:
Ubuntu 20 server running samba file share
Ubuntu 20 client running as workstation: used for setting up server via ssh and using samba file share
+7 windows 7,8,10 computers using the share
Issue:
While connecting from Ubuntu Client to Ubuntu server the connection between the 2 computers will drop for extended periods of time. Connection will drop and come up again without any intervention. While down even ping packets are 100% lost. (obviously in that time no file share or ssh is available). Also while down Ubuntu server have full access to internet, you can ping google, you can update and upgrade OS. During down periods Ubuntu Client also have full access to internet, and various network resources, including other servers situated in the same rack as Ubuntu Server.... and gets even better... during down periods, windows clients can access file share on Ubuntu Server, clients that are physically connected to the same network switch as the Ubuntu Client.

Does anyone know why Ubuntu server and Ubuntu client randomly stop and start talking to each other?
