Hi all
Hope I've posted in the right place?
I'm new to linux and have downloaded pclinuxos and loaded it onto a usb stick, when I run linux from a usb and close the os down, I lose all my settings, language etc, so everytime I boot into linux off usb I have to put in the information again, my question is, is there a way to save the information to my usb?

Thanks wpaulgp1

Yes.
You will need to create the bootable USB with what is called "persistence".
One application which does this very well is UNetBootin.
Which application you use to create the USB with persistence may vary depending on what operating system you will be using to create it.
Rufus should work well on Windows.
Here are a couple links to get you started:

Hi
Thank you for you prompt reply, I will give it a go.
It's much appreciated.

G'day and welcome to the crew.
I wasn't fully aware of the procedure on how to create persistence on a USB stick either so thank you for your question as it also helped me as well.
