I'm dual-booting linux mint 21.2 (linux: 5.15.0-88-generic) and windows 10, but I can't connect to the internet. There are no Wifi options, and when I'm using usb tethering from my phone I see this in the network panel:
Realtek RTL8111/8168/8411 PCI Express Gigabit Ethernet Controller cable unplugged Archer T4U plus AC 1300

I have installed the drivers for the adapter (I think). This is the output of lspci -nnk | grep -iA2 net
02:00.0 Ethernet controller [0200]: Realtek Semiconductor Co., Ltd. RTL8111/8168/8411 PCI Express Gigabit Ethernet
Controller [10ec:8168] (rev 15)
Subsystem: Micro-Star International Co., Ltd. [MSI] RTL8111/8168/8411 PCI Express Gigabit Ethernet Controller [1462:7c31]
Kernel driver in use: r8168
Kernel modules: r8168
I have turned off fast boot and secure boot. And also used r8169 instead to no avail.

Any help would be appreciated.

Welcome to the forums
Ok If you're running MINT then from the terminal run inxi -Nn [I would ask you to post back the report if possible] at this stage I suspect no or wrong wi-fi driver [but it could also be a hard block, but this is less likely]

According to the read out here you do not have a wifi card. The r8111 is your ethernet card.
if you are connected to ethernet try unplugging it and run inxi Nn again. And the rfkill command.
some rigs disconnect the wifi if ethernet is connected.

from what i gather you may have the wrong driver, looking at the RTL website, the 8168 driver is only for Kernels up to 5.1, for later kernels they are offering [not used it myself]

Glad you got it going. Was it a usb wifi dongle? that would explain it. In any event enjoy!
I don't really know the difference, but as I looked online it was a USB WiFi T4U archer plus adapter, not a small dongle.
