Linux Machine

Hi All,

I'm new to using Linux. I normally use macOS and have recently started next generation sequencing work. I was told our department had a good spec'd linux machine and I pulled up the info on the device which I have attached. I'm curious, for the processor it says " X 8 " does that mean theres 8 i7 processors in there? So 36 cores if each processor has 4?

Cheers I thought as much but was confused cause I've never seen X8 after the processor spec

I had the same when I first saw this on my linux coputer
