I don't have either, what I do have is Blue light filter glasses and just adjust the screen settings to reduce glare, I have read that these types of screen are of multi layer construction and prone to cracking
So from my experience, I have another HP besides this one and it is touch screen, but guess what? I don't even bother to use it. Then I'm actually trying to do as much command line work as possible so its really no use for me. That's just my opinion buddy, know what I mean..
A glass laptop touchscreen? No, no, no, no, no...don't even GO there.
Laptops get enough stick in daily use as it is. Adding a glass touchscreen into the mix would be foolhardy at best, disastrous at worst.
On top of the fact that touchscreens get all smeary & crudded-up with fingerprints, skin-oils/grease (which attracts dirt), there's the huge "elephant in the room" pertaining to the material itself; unless you're going to cossett your laptop and treat with it enormous TLC and great respect, eventually that glass screen is going to crack. It's expensive enough replacing a smartphone's glass screen. Can you even imagine how much a replacement laptop touchscreen of the same material would cost??
Hurts my head just thinking about it! And as for all the extra weight...eurrghh.
So what's wrong with the 'standard' TFT LCD/LED panels?
Anything will do, as long as the screen can be easily wiped clean. I'm typing this on a matte screen and i never touch it because it leaves a permanent smudge.
