Linux install kit via CD ROM

I'm new to Linux and want to install it on a machine that does not have network capability. How can I obtain the install via CD ROM?

Well, find a distro that you're interested in, and go to the main site for the distro, and usually they have some way to download the .iso--an optical disc image (Not a picture, but an identical copy; a mirror image). And the page usually has a guide on how to install the image on the disc.

Almost any distro has a bootable image installer available for download. Just go to their website, download the image, burn it and install from CD.
