He is trying to create a NATed or Bridged WiFi Access Point for pen testing but that is the limit of my knowledge.

Mine is not much better than yours, but if he is trying to directly access the inbuilt W-Fi from a VM, It ain't gonna work,
I do wish people would read and understand the Notes released with each distribution before they try and install them
