So, I went to Linux.com only to be greeted by a huge article regarding "combating offensive terms in computing like master and slave". This truly is one of the most depressing things I've seen in the Linux community.

Can we not keep politics out of Linux, Computing & Computer related information sciences until the robot AIs rise up and have their own political party? It would be appreciated, I'm sure I'm not the only one who feels this way, I really hope a simple request like this will be received by the right people some how... because this is getting ridiculous.

This site is in no way associated with Linux, it's just a fortunate domain name.

This site has a strict policy against political discussion. By bringing that here, you're bringing the politics here.

I'm going to lock this topic until further notice.

@Oddyseous , Good morning and welcome to linux.org.

I really hope a simple request like this will be received by the right people some how

You might be better served if you address your concerns to

https://www.linux.com/

http://www.linuxfoundation.org/

and perhaps more notably

The CNCF's Priyanka Sharma

.. as it appears that she is spearheading these moves.

If we can help you with matters regarding Linux itself, please have a browse through our Forums under the tag above left, and start a Thread in the appropriate area.

Thank you.
