Linux App Lock

Hello:

I am looking for a Linux App Lock that can launch an application after the Linux OS booted up.
So that the user can use only the application and not seeing the Linux desktop environment.

Is there such an app or a script that can be implemented whenever the Linux standalone system is powered up?

Please correct me if my question is not clear.
