Help greatly appreciated.
This has been asked on excel or microsoft excel forums. and there it is for libreoffice calc.
I have to work with arabic/persian numbers excel file that comes from another source. e.g. national tables and standards and codes and I need to convert them in bulk to normal english number that the program recognize them as "number variable types" and not a "string". testing adding ۱۰۰to 100 must result in 200 but it's errored. "#VALUE!" . This is how I know that it's not treated as number in the first place.
I wish there was a function that converts "string numbers" to "number variables" in the first place and another function that translate the numbers.
