Language

Hi All!
I just googled "Linux programming language" and got a load of posts listing all the zillions of languages used to programme in Linux. Not very helpful.
At the moment, in Terminal, all I can type is what someone else has told me, and all I want to know is where they got to learn it so that I can learn it too. ( sudo, get bash blah blah....etc). Can anyone please give me any pointers?

Two documents I would recommend are:

1. Bash Guide for Beginners
2. Advanced Bash-Scripting Guide

Study both of these and you should have a good handle on the BASH "Command Line Interface" (CLI) for the Linux "Console" and GUI "Terminal" applications.

You also might want to study, "Introduction to Linux - A Hands on Guide"
