While looking through all my old Hand drawn schematics from the past, I decided it was time to update my procedures. I went back to my previous media, a 18 x 12 inch drawing pad, and took a look at some work I had done on a project called "the Roanoke Doppler" for VHF direction finding. The original schematic was from pages 124 &125 of the book "Transmitter Hunting" by K0OV and WB6UZZ. I decided to start my foray into Kicad with a simpler schematic from my drawing pad, one I did in 1996, for a noise meter. As shown in the screen shot, it looks much better than my hand drawin version(TRUST ME!!!). I have my work cut out for me, however, because the particular transistors which are used in this schematic are not in the library, and I must find a way to generate them. There is also no schematic symbol in the library for a meter. Who'd a thought it? This should be very educational.

Has anyone out there added anything to Kicad's library?

Happy Trails,
Paul
