I have a strange situation. I installed the 5.1.1-2 kernel using the GUI tool in Manjaro on my Deepin, KDE, and GNOME editions. Each DE lists the kernel as installed. However, only GNOME gives me the option to load the 5.1 kernel in advanced settings on the GRUB menu. For KDE and Deepin the 5.1.1 kernel isn't showing up? Any suggestions?

Here is the code that a user on the Manjaro forum suggested I run:
Code:
[jlap4@jlap4MJkdeP ~]$ sudo update-grub
[sudo] password for jlap4:
Generating grub configuration file ...

Jeffrey just noticed this but out for my evening, back within 24

No worries, I ended up reinstalling and that fixed the issue. I would like to know what caused the problem so if you see anything in the code that I posted I'd love to know! Hope you are well!

That's fine mate.

Curious about that warning

/usr/bin/grub-probe: warning: unknown device type nvme0n1.

Do you have a file in /etc/grub.d/ that numbers beyond 40 or 41?
