I have been using MATE and Gnome for years. I recently started using KDE Plasma 6.2 a couple of months ago.
I have been using it on a Desktop system, it's taken a little while, but I'm getting used to it.
Recently I installed this on a Laptop. From the same installer USB. I was expecting everything to look and fell the same.
But no, it seems on Laptops, KDE mobile is the default desktop installed. My menu bar is missing from the bottom.
There is no application menu. Now instead of a menu, I get rows of icons, much like Gnome.
Is this a new thing, or has KDE always had this option? In any case, I have the option of KDE Standard and KDE Mobile at
my login screen. I guess you're never too old to learn something new. I wonder if people who install KDE on laptops
assume this is how it looks on desktops.
