I am not able to access internet in virtual box.I have a wireless card "Dell Wireless 1708 802.11b/g/n (2.4GHz)" when i type iwconfig it showed that no wireless extensions found. Please help!!!!

Can you give output of these three commands.

cat /etc/os-release

uname -a

lspci

You are right. There are no wireless devices. I missed that you were using VirtualBox.
Usually VirtualBox blocks Wifi in VMs by design.

Virtual box is not supported wifi connections. (At least out of the box).
Once you make a new virtual machine go to Setting > Network and choose from drop list next to
Attached to :
You will see something like NAT , Bridge Adapter , etc.
If you don't know what to chose leave it on default NAT.
