These news are interesting but nothing special, I always had suspicion toward proxies and VPN's because might be operated by bad actors or bad employees.
Sadly TOR is not exception, but that's why paying attention to HTTPS is important if using such services.
The article says that the network was selling access to hundreds of thousands of Windows PCs. So I’m safe because I use Linux on all of my personal PC’s. Ha ha!
And if my windows work PC had ever been compromised, I’m sure I’d know about it.
I regularly audit the network traffic of any of my windows boxes for work, because I really don’t trust Windows at all.
