Welcome to the forums
yay is an ARCH package manager, I doubt it will work with pop, which uses Synaptic Package Manager and Flatpack

yay is an AUR helper not the official package manager of Arch and Arch-based distributions, Pacman is.

Pop OS is based on Ubuntu so you will need Synaptic Package Manager - the package manager for Arch is pacman - Yay is what @f33dm3bits has stated an AUR Helper

Simple answer is no - you cannot use yay on Pop OS

Well, yes... Probably... And, bonus, it'll likely work! Or so I'm told. I keep meaning to set time away to play with this, but I never have.

You'd be looking for something called "Bedrock Linux".
