Is there a difference between Linux distros and security/privacy?

Besides things like what Qubes offers, is there any difference if I'm using Manjaro, MX Linux, Mint, Debian, Ubuntu, etc, when it comes to security and privacy?

Manjaro, MX Linux, Mint, Debian, Ubuntu are all the same as far as security and privacy from my experience.

Qubes is suppose to offer better security because everything is running in a virtual environment.

I've never used Qubes so have no hands on experience using it.

OSs are only as safe and secure and as private as the user allows them to be.

Nothing is bullet proof and the user is always the weakest link with security and privacy.

Absolutely. No matter what Linux one uses, if the user ignores good security practices, then the user will be on the losing side. Doesn't matter Manjaro, Arch, Ubuntu, Qubes, Kali, or any other part of the alphabet soup of distros.

Keep Browser up to date. Use Adblocker and Privacy Badger and just be careful where you surf.

If you use any Debian distro security will be the same. Qubes is good, but just think, if you use only Linux or Linux/Windows too. For Windows Qubes is quite complicated. Probably Qubes or Debian is the best.
