Is anyone using Github CLI on there system?

Hello everyone. Peace be upon all. So I'm just trying to get some input from anyone using this. I really do not know a lot about github. Just your experience like cons and pros of gh. Thanks yall.....

I use it. Not because I like it, but because it's a requirement for my job.

Github is owned by Microsoft, I tend to avoid Microsoft when possible.

Like our member dos2unix I only use it when I have to.

The packages and sources that I have downloaded from Github have went well for me.

I'd read up on what folks are saying about it first before putting it on your system.
You could install it and if you don't like it just remove it-

All some great advice. Yeah so I get what you are saying dos2unix. I didn't know that MS owned github. I mean I don't have anything against MS, I just wanted something more challenging that I can have full control. So from what I've heard
I will just use GitHub when I need to. That's good enough cap. I've recently removed the dual boot I had set up and did a full Ubuntu install on this device, I enjoy that one the best. And on my other device I removed Ubuntu and did a full install Debian 12 Book Worm KDE Plasma. That one is cool as a cucumber. Doing a lot of practice with vim,nano and visual studio code. Oh and Kate also is an phenomenal test editor.

As for GitHub, if you don't need it for work - or to maintain a project - then you don't really need to learn how to use it. I can download and upload and forgot everything else I learned.

There are all sorts of alternatives, including the venerable SourceForge.

The reason I did that is because its a different device with a different OS. So I have my signature attached with the information for that device when I visit different sites. See what I'm saying. Not trying to do anything sideways or malicious. But yeah Banky is my other device. Short for West Bank. I don't know if anybody knows anything about that on here. So is that okay my friend?

I have no problems with it.
