Installing Ubuntu

Has anyone ever installed Ubuntu in Asus Rog Strix G Core g531gt.
If yess please reply, my battery deteriorated after I dual booted my pc. The same happened to you tu ?

Laptop batteries lifetime aren't good on any Linux distribution, you can try installing TLP that may it improve it some but not much.

There is also a program called slimbook- battery which is a graphical front end for tlp and other battery saving programs it works well for me. But battery life is still not great. You can install it from their ppa found here:
