I have my /home on a separate drive and would like to install a different distro while keeping /home intact. I saw this post but wonder, will this work going from a Gnome DE to KDE, and from a Debian base (Pop) to Arch (Manjaro), as long as I'm making the edits from apt to pacman?

Edit: This is one of those posts where if I could delete it, I would. I'll just give it a shot and see how it goes. :)

Is it possible? Yes, it is. However, two different distros (Ubuntu(Pop_OS) and Arch(Manjaro)) and two different DE's(Gnome and KDE) which both use two different libraries(GTK and QT). I've read of people who do this without mayor issues, though I think they use one DE. I'm not particularly fan of this setup; if something messes /home in one of my systems(have 3 at the moment), then it might just spread to the other two.
