Hello guys.So today I have installed Ubuntu on another device that I have. I did a complete installation, therefore my device is wholly committed. My question concerns System Snapshots. Does that have to be setup on Ubuntu? The reason I ask is because I have LMC22 on another device alongside Windows 11 and the wizard directed me in setting all that up. Any advice would be helpful. This is the device that I've installed Ubuntu on;

Depends on who you ask.

For my taste I'm against any automated backups because I prefer to backup my data to external HDD and I always have a bootable USB ready to reinstall system if things go south and then copy backup from backup HDD to fresh system.

But if you want to rely on automated backup and don't do it manually then it's relevant because you need at least some kind of a backup.
Advantage of manual backup however is that absolutely nothing can go wrong, automated backups however can cause trouble.

Timeshift, rarely, if ever, gives trouble

Yes, set it up. Keep a few snapshots for your peace of mind.

Always remember that timeshift backs up system files only.....it doesn't backup the pics you took of aunt martha and the family cat/dog etc etc

I used a timeshift snapshot taken in December 2023 to install Linux Mint 21.3 on a spare ssd, in conjunction with a Rescuezilla image taken around the same time.
The result....flawless. Which shows there is plenty of room for using both a manual full image as well as Tiemshift.
