I want to try out Linux Chalet, but I'm having difficulties with the installation. I have downloaded the ISO for Linux Chalet and burned the image to a DVD. However, I cannot find the install file so I can install it on my laptop.

I have no idea about Chalet but all distros I'm using they have an "install" icon on their desktop in Live mode.
Something like this

No I didn't. I didn't know I should, but I did verify the burning from the ISO. Linux is totally new to me.

Hello @zepe and welcome to linux.org :)

May I ask which version of Windows you are using, or is it the case that you are seeking to install Chalet as the only OS (Operating System) on the machine?

Cheers

Hello, it's me, xD1G0x,
I think you need to boot through DVD disk, how to do it? Reboot your computer, when you see your computer manufacturer screen constantly spam F8 [sometimes it's one of those: DEL, F9, F10], you will see boot settings, when you here, search for boot setup, then Boot order and bring up DVD/CD boot. Then SAVE, reboot again and you should see Linux boot screen. Let me know if you have any issues or any problems, and let us know if this worked.
