hello everyone
I wanna ask you some explanation about a hypothetical ram upgrade for a Asus X51L:

As you see the maximum capacity is 8GB but the spec asus say upto 2GB
Please, it's my curiosity, may I ask you explanation?
I tried with 4GB but the notebook freez at booting. But the screen bios say it's OK

That happens from time to time. The motherboard itself may have the capacity and circuitry for up to 8GB RAM, but the BIOS may be limited to addressing some lower number. Not a lot you can do about it, unless a BIOS update is available for that motherboard to address a larger amount.
