increase size of home folder to download and install anaconda

i want to increase size of home folder to download and install anaconda. i have gparted in my debian 10 .

As root do the following:

lvextend -L +1G /dev/raman-vg/home -r

Replace 1 with how many GB's you would like to increase your home volume with.

This website has all the information you need which explains LVM. In short: You create a partition from free space left on your disk, from that partition you create a physical volume(pv). Which you then add to your volume group(vg), after which you can extend your logical volume(lv).
