I loved my floppydrive space

Not me, no. I have enough disk space already. Anything big/important gets saved to a central location where it can be subject to scheduled backups. So, unless something goes wrong, I have plenty of disk space and don't need to add more drives.

How do you even know what floppy disks are at 13?

does anyone else prefer the old fllopy drive bays for mounting hard drives?
Most newer equipment do not have IDE connections only SATTA,
max speed on IDE is 133mbs SATTA is around 1.2gbs [almost 10 times faster]
SATTA & SSD drives are plentiful and getting cheaper by the day
if you have some really old equipment and you need to use the flopp/diskdrive bays to increase your storage then that's fair enough

I mount hard drives / SSDs wherever I find a space for one when needed.
